Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Why We Give

Giving the Lord back a portion of what He has given us is both an expression of gratitude to Him and an exercise that teaches us to hold all that we have with an open hand to the Lord. It is an act of worship that we should exercise faithfully and generously out of thankfulness for all that He has given us. As we give with hearts full of love and gratitude, we will see God also provide for our needs abundantly. Remember, we truly can never outgive the Lord, for He has given the greatest gift to us – our Savior Jesus Christ.
